Scholarships. Academics. Community. We’re here to make sure every winter student athlete at Palisades Tahoe has the chance to reach their full potential on the mountain, in school, and in life.
The PTCF Academic Center (the Academic Center) is a joint venture between Team Palisades Tahoe (TPT) and the Palisades Tahoe Community Foundation (PTCF). Our mission is to foster well-rounded student athletes and promote the importance of education. The Academic Center is an in-person academic support center open to TPT athletes during the training season. At the center, TPT athletes receive support in their subject areas, assistance in test prep, feedback/editing on written assignments, and tools to form solid study and organizational habits that will be the foundation for academic success. By operating our academic support center at the base of Palisades Tahoe during the school week free of charge, we help athletes stay focused on their academic pursuits and receive help on their studies as they continue to train. The Academic Center provides a comfortable, reliable, and structured learning environment where athletes can independently complete coursework and receive individual tutoring and academic support.

Prospective Tutors
If you are an educator or know of somebody interested in additional work as a midweek tutor of athletes on the Palisades Tahoe ski and snowboard teams, please reach out to academics@ptcommunityfoundation.org to express your interest in helping our athletes in our academic center. The quality of the tutoring that our athletes receive hinges on the number of tutors that we have and additional tutors go a long way in ensuring that each athlete receives quality instruction.
