Since 2014, we’ve awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships to young winter athletes - that’s a lot of lift tickets! But the measure of our impact goes beyond the dollars. Our scholars don’t just learn to carve through fresh snow - they develop the grit, leadership, and teamwork skills that help them crush it in every area of life.

Need-Based Scholarships
Money shouldn’t decide who gets to chase their winter sports dreams. Our need-based scholarships open doors for talented athletes who have the heart, but need help with the hefty price tag of competitive winter sports at Palisades Tahoe.
Merit-Based Scholarships
When our athletes earn their spot at regionals, nationals, or international championships, we’ve got their backs. Our merit-based scholarships tackle those surprise costs - travel, registration fees, and all the unexpected expenses that come with leveling up in competitive winter sports.
Beyond the Scholarships
Every scholarship recipient joins a tight-knit community that’s invested in their success - both on the slopes and beyond. Through mentorship, academic support, and leadership opportunities, we make sure our athletes have everything they need to thrive… Whether they’re gunning for the Olympics or planning their next career move.

Who Can Apply
Athletes participating on Palisades Tahoe ski and snowboard teams (including those joining for their first season)
When to Apply
Applications open in January and must be completed by the submission deadline in April. Notifications are made before ski team registration opens.
What We Look For
- Financial need (documented through parent/guardian application)
- Athletic commitment and goals for the upcoming season
- Strong work ethic and coachability (verified through coach recommendation)
- Academic dedication and teamwork skills (confirmed through teacher recommendation)
- Personal statement demonstrating what the sport means to you
