Community Ski & Gear Swap
Scholarships. Academics. Community. We’re here to make sure every winter student athlete at Palisades Tahoe has the chance to reach their full potential on the mountain, in school, and in life.
When:
Sunday, October 11 - 10am till 3pm (drop off gear 8:45 - 9:45 am)
Where:
Palisades Ballroom — Palisades Tahoe Village
1750 Village East Rd, Olympic Valley, CA 96146
Inside the Village Hotel in the main check‑in area, located directly across from the front desk.
What:
(Junior/Youth) skis/bindings, poles, snowboards, boots, jackets, race pants, race shorts. New this year: Creekside Outdoor Kindergarten - outdoor classroom clothing (rain suits, etc.)
Gear Parameters:
- Gear should be for school age kids
- MUST be in full working condition and have no visible signs of damage
- Equipment 6 years used or older not allowed
- Creekside makes no assertions as to condition or safety/security of equipment
- Team Jackets? Okay! As long as they are in working condition and no signs of damage
- Gear will not be held/stored/secured, it is the sole responsibility of the current owner
- Team representatives will be on site to reiterate team equipment participation expectations
How:
- Bring your qualified gear Sunday morning (8:45 - 9:45 am)
- Fill out a ticket for each item specifying the seller, item and price, and accepted payment method.
- Pricing Suggestion:
- 1-2 years used equipment – keep the $$ value reasonable
- 3-5 years used equipment – just donate it or exchange it
- Transactions are direct between buyer/seller/exchanger. It's up to you to accept cash, check, VENMO, etc.
- Suggested donation of 20+% of your gear sale earnings to Creekside Charter! Donation information will be available onsite.
- Pricing Suggestion:
- Shop for needed gear! Pay the seller.
- Pick up your unsold gear by 3:30 pm. ALL GEAR left beyond 3:30 pm on 10/11 will be discarded or donated.
- Though times are posted, pop-ins/outs are welcome!
