Palisades Tahoe Community Foundation is seeking Volunteer Events Committee Members to help us design and deliver memorable fundraising events and community gatherings that fuel scholarships and support for our student-athletes. This part-time unpaid volunteer role is ideal for people who love bringing the community together—whether it’s brainstorming event ideas, managing details behind the scenes, or rolling up your sleeves on event day.

About PTCF
The Palisades Tahoe Community Foundation (PTCF) is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Palisades Tahoe student-athletes and the legacy of the Olympic Valley community. We empower athletes with scholarships, academic resources, and community support to cultivate future leaders on and off the hill. Since 2014, PTCF has awarded more than $1M in scholarships and continues to expand its impact through access, education, and community initiatives.
Role Overview
PTCF seeks Volunteer Events Committee Members to join the team that plans and executes our signature fundraising and community events. From large-scale gatherings like the Warren Miller Film Premiere and Peak 2 Peak Race to intimate donor receptions, committee members help ensure every event is impactful, well-organized, and aligned with PTCF’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Support
- Contribute creative ideas to improve or launch events that engage the community and raise funds for scholarships and programs.
- Assist in planning logistics such as venue coordination, timelines, décor, guest registration, and onsite support.
- Help secure in-kind donations, auction items, or sponsorship leads when possible.
Volunteer & Day-of-Event Support
- Support the recruitment and scheduling of day-of volunteers.
- Assist with event setup, check-in, guest hospitality, and clean-up as needed.
- Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for PTCF during events.
Community Engagement & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Fundraising Team, and other committee members to share updates and track progress.
- Support follow-up tasks after events such as donor thank-yous and sponsor recognition.
- Offer feedback and insights to improve future events.
Qualifications
- Passion for community, youth sports, and supporting student-athletes.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills; reliable and collaborative.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced event environment and willing to help wherever needed.
- Event planning or hospitality experience is helpful but not required.
- Availability to attend periodic committee meetings (virtual or in-person) and be present at key events.
Time Commitment
- 10-20 hours per month
- Flexible hybrid role; on-site presence required for most major PTCF events.
