Palisades Tahoe Community Foundation is seeking Volunteer Raffle Committee Members to help plan, promote, and run one of our most exciting fundraising efforts of the season—our community raffles! These raffles fund scholarships, academic programs, and athlete support services, directly helping Palisades Tahoe student-athletes thrive on and off the mountain. This part-time unpaid volunteer role is perfect for detail-oriented, outgoing individuals who enjoy fundraising and rallying the community for a good cause.

About PTCF

The Palisades Tahoe Community Foundation (PTCF) is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Palisades Tahoe student-athletes and the legacy of the Olympic Valley community. We empower athletes with scholarships, academic resources, and community support to cultivate future leaders on and off the hill. Since 2014, PTCF has awarded more than $1M in scholarships and continues to expand its impact through access, education, and community initiatives.

Role Overview

PTCF seeks Volunteer Raffle Committee Members to help plan and execute seasonal raffles that generate critical funds for scholarships and programs. From securing prizes and building excitement to managing sales and coordinating drawing logistics, committee members play a vital role in maximizing raffle success and keeping the experience fun, fair, and seamless for participants.

Key Responsibilities

Prize Procurement Outreach

  • Help identify and secure appealing raffle prizes from local businesses, sponsors, and in-kind donors.
  • Support outreach efforts to nurture relationships with prize donors and sponsors.
  • Ensure all donor recognition is appropriately managed in collaboration with the Development Team.

Raffle Promotion & Ticket Sales

  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Graphic Designer to create engaging promotional content for raffle launches.
  • Assist in ticket sales efforts—both online and at in-person events.
  • Serve as an ambassador to encourage community participation.

Operations & Event Support

  • Assist with raffle logistics, including ticket tracking, legal compliance, and fair drawing processes.
  • Provide on-site support at live raffle drawings

Follow-Up & Reporting

  • Support donor and sponsor thank-you communications after raffles conclude.
  • Share feedback and recommendations to improve future raffles.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic about fundraising and supporting youth athletes.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills; comfortable with outreach to local businesses and sponsors.
  • Friendly, dependable, and comfortable engaging with the community in person and online.
  • Willing to help with on-site logistics at key raffle events.
  • Event or raffle experience helpful but not required—training and guidance will be provided.

Time Commitment

  • Estimated 2–3 hours per month for committee meetings and planning.
  • Additional 3–5 hours during active raffle campaigns and event weeks.
  • Flexible hybrid role; on-site presence required during major events or live drawings.
