Palisades Tahoe Community Foundation is seeking a Volunteer Videographer to help capture the heart and energy of our athletes, families, and community. This part-time unpaid volunteer role will film and produce video content showcasing our fundraising events, academic programs, athlete spotlights, and sponsor stories—all in service of helping Palisades Tahoe student-athletes excel on and off the mountain.

The Palisades Tahoe Community Foundation (PTCF) is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Palisades Tahoe student-athletes and the legacy of the Olympic Valley community. We empower athletes with scholarships, academic resources, and community support to cultivate future leaders on and off the hill. Since 2014, PTCF has awarded more than $1M in scholarships and continues to expand its impact through access, education, and community initiatives.

Role Overview

PTCF seeks a Volunteer Videographer to film, edit, and produce compelling videos that showcase the stories of our athletes, celebrate our community events, highlight sponsors, and amplify our mission. This role works closely with the Social Media Manager, Events Team, and Marketing partners to ensure all video content aligns with our brand and drives engagement across digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Event & Story Capture

  • Film PTCF events (e.g., Warren Miller Film Premiere, Speaker Series, Peak 2 Peak Race, scholarship spotlights).
  • Capture authentic behind-the-scenes moments of athletes, coaches, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate with event leads to identify key filming opportunities and on-site needs.

Video Production & Editing

  • Edit short-form videos for social media (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) as well as longer-form videos for donor updates, sponsor recaps, and event promotions.
  • Add captions, music, transitions, and graphics to ensure accessibility and brand consistency.
  • Deliver timely highlight reels and recap videos following each event or campaign.

Brand & Partner Visibility

  • Incorporate sponsor logos, acknowledgements, and co-branding where required.
  • Support donor and sponsor recognition with polished recap videos that reflect impact and gratitude.

Collaboration & Planning

  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager to align on content calendars and campaign goals.
  • Partner with board members, athletes, and families to collect authentic stories.
  • Maintain an organized archive of footage for future campaigns and historical storytelling.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of videography and video editing experience (nonprofit, sports, or outdoor industry preferred).
  • Skilled in capturing both action and candid storytelling shots.
  • Proficient with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of social media formats (vertical vs. horizontal, aspect ratios, length best-practices).
  • Strong eye for framing, lighting, and visual storytelling.
  • Knowledge of snow sports culture, youth athletics, or the Tahoe community is a plus.
  • Organized, dependable, and collaborative—comfortable working in fast-paced event environments.

Time Commitment

  • Estimated 5–10 hours per month, with additional hours during key events and campaigns.
  • Flexible hybrid role; on-site presence required at PTCF events.
